Rough And Tumble Hiking. (In Florida?!)

Today as a family we went hiking, Florida style. It was really fun...... till everyone had like twenty deer flies biting your head. I still feel like something is biting or clawing at me. It was still pretty fun. I walked into loads of spider webs with enormous spiders in them! My loving kindly mother decided to use my height against me by putting me in front. As you can guess, I was quickly covered with webs. I soon decided the back of the line is well suited for me. We kept on passing people who had no idea where they were. My thought is that, if you’re going to go out ‘hiking’ then you should at LEAST know where you are. The rest of the hike went generally like that till about five minutes away from our car when we came to a smallish creek blocking the other side of the trail. There was two different ways to get across. Step on a tire in the water then to the other side. Or (for people that aren’t satisfied with that) you can just jump straight over the creek. Well, someone did it first (Anyse or Miranda) I can’t remember which. They got wet and went on. The next goes, and does the same. Joli builds momentum and almost jumps when she thinks better of it and just walks through the water. And so we come to me. You might be able to see a video of it on here but I don’t know if it will work. Anyways..... I start running and just barely make it and when I land I fall and have two choices: fall in the water or roll in the mud. I chose mud and paid the price. It wasn’t too bad cause when I fell I rolled up and got up too quickly to get seriously dirty. Although I got a few bloody scratches, but I already had some from going through the thorny vines. That’s pretty much all that happened on our ‘hiking excursion.’ I don’t regret jumping. I just regret that I didn’t do it more gracefully. Oh, yeah. It’s time for........ IYF! Okay my In Your Face moment is that I got to wake up early, go out in the forest, get devoured by deer flies, and jump over a creek, all before lunch! Well, bYe!
